Pharmacist in Blairsden Graeagle, CA

A healthcare facility is seeking two licensed Pharmacists for overnight shifts in Susanville, CA on a temporary contract basis. This role involves working 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off for approximately 8 weeks, with a start date by July 1. The facility has 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 10 patients.

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 7 nights on, 7 nights off
• Approximately 8 weeks in duration

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy
• Provide patient consultation and medication information to customers
• Maintain working knowledge of relevant rules and regulations
• Receive medication orders from wholesalers and manage inventory
• Perform sterile compounding and medication reconstitution
• Manage unit dosing and remove medications from stock before expiration
• Conduct audits and handle billing functions within the scope of the pharmacy license
• Supervise pharmacy technician staff
• Utilize Cerner order entry system; training will be provided

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license
• Experience with sterile compounding and medication reconstitution
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
• Familiarity with Cerner system preferred but not required due to provided training
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards

This is a contract-only, temporary assignment in a well-supported environment offering training on the order entry system.
