Pharmacist - Blairsden Graeagle, CA

This opportunity is for a night shift Pharmacist position in a long-term care setting located in Blairsden Graeagle, CA, with coverage needed in Susanville, CA. This temp-only contract offers a 7-on/7-off night schedule, consisting of 10-hour shifts for approximately 8 weeks, with an ASAP start date. The facility operates with licensed beds totaling 25 and an average daily census of 10, creating a very low volume and easy assignment environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide patient consultation and medication information to customers.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy rules, regulations, and standards.
• Handle medication order receiving from wholesalers.
• Perform sterile compounding and reconstitution of medications.
• Manage unit dosing and remove medications from stock prior to expiration.
• Conduct audits, billing, and other pharmacy-related tasks as assigned.
• Supervise pharmacy technician staff within scope of license.
• Utilize order entry system Cerner; training will be provided.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license in the state of California.
• Experience with sterile compounding and medication reconstitution.
• Familiarity with Cerner order entry system is a plus, but training is available.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technician staff.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
