Pharmacist in Blairsden Graeagle, CA

This opportunity is for a Pharmacist to work nights on a temporary contract basis in a healthcare facility located in Blairsden Graeagle, CA. The assignment features a manageable patient load with a licensed bed count of 25 and an average daily census of 10. This role offers an excellent chance to contribute to patient care in a less hectic environment while gaining experience with Cerner order entry systems, with training provided.

Shift Details:

• 7 nights on, 7 nights off
• 10-hour shifts
• Approximately 8-week duration
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and ensure timely dispensing
• Provide patient consultation and medication information to patients and healthcare staff
• Maintain compliance with all relevant rules and regulations
• Receive medication orders from wholesalers and manage inventory effectively
• Perform sterile compounding and reconstitution of medications
• Conduct unit dosing and oversee the removal of medications nearing expiration
• Perform audits and billing duties as assigned within pharmaceutical scope of practice
• Supervise and support pharmacy technician staff to ensure smooth pharmacy operations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Pharmacist license
• Experience or willingness to learn Cerner order entry system
• Strong knowledge of medication preparation, dispensing, and pharmacy regulations
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
• Effective communication skills for patient and team interactions
