This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead a retail pharmacy team in Altoona, PA. This permanent position offers a 36-hour workweek with variable day and afternoon shifts to provide flexibility. The role emphasizes leadership, business growth, regulatory compliance, and outstanding customer service within a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with store operations to drive associate engagement and communicate pharmacy strategies.
- Verify prescription accuracy through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance per state and federal regulations.
- Manage departmental profitability and growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Coordinate inventory control with the District Manager and pharmacy staff to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
- Set and monitor performance objectives aligned with key department metrics for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through healthcare counseling and addressing medical-related inquiries.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, overseeing training, coaching, and discipline.
- Maintain pharmacy security, cleanliness, and organization.
- Resolve customer issues promptly to build trust and loyalty.
- Communicate with physicians and use reference materials to clarify prescription concerns.
- Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
Location:

Schedule:
- 36 hours per week.
