An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting located in Blythe, CA. This travel assignment offers an 8-10 week engagement beginning early March, well-suited for pharmacists who are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and possess strong clinical acumen.
Schedule & Hours:
- 3 to 4 shifts per week
- 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (potential flexibility for a 7-on, 7-off rotation)
- On-call responsibilities required on some nights
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct pharmaceutical support to the Emergency Department, currently the primary clinical department in operation
- Respond promptly and effectively to Code Blue events
- Compound sterile and non-sterile medications as needed to support patient care
- Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff and patients by offering expert medication guidance
- Collaborate with laboratory, radiology, and cardiology support services to facilitate comprehensive emergency care
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacist license is mandatory
- Hospital inpatient experience is strongly preferred
- Proven expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist on site
- Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills
