A specialized healthcare provider in home infusion services seeks a PRN Staff Pharmacist to support IV and infusion care for patients with acute and chronic conditions. This role offers an opportunity to apply clinical pharmacy expertise in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment focused on safe medication use and compliance with regulatory standards.

Location:

  • Cambridge, MA (on-site)

Schedule / Hours:

  • Initial training: 4-8 days on EMR system, June 18, 19, 25, 26
  • Regular shifts: 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
  • Additional PRN shifts as needed through December, primarily 9am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process physician orders, verify insurance benefits
  • Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations according to USP 797 standards
  • Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion supplies
  • Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing
  • Minimum 1+ year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy preferred
  • Required infusion therapy and sterile compounding experience
  • Proficiency with USP 797 sterile compounding standards
  • Strong communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking skills
