Pharmacist in Boston, MA

Join a specialized Home Infusion pharmacy team dedicated to providing IV and infusion services for patients with acute and chronic medical needs. This PRN Staff Pharmacist role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic, patient-focused environment. The position is contract-based with flexible scheduling, primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Location: Cambridge, MA
Schedule / Shift:

• Initial training: 4-8 days on EMR system
• Regular shifts: 2 days per month, flexible scheduling
• Additional PRN coverage available, mostly 9am-5pm onsite
• Immediate coverage needed for July 6-10, July 13-17, August 31, September 1-4 and 25, and December 11

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
• Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations in compliance with USP 797 standards
• Dispense medications and infusion supplies safely and accurately
• Maintain detailed and compliant patient and pharmacy records
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide coverage for other pharmacists when needed

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with infusion therapy and sterile compounding strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and time management
