A dynamic opportunity exists for a licensed pharmacist to contribute expertise in utilization management while supporting Part B drug prior authorization and appeals review. This contract-to-hire role operates remotely, offering the chance to integrate clinical judgment with Medicare policy application in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals, ensuring compliance with clinical policies and Medicare requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal clinical and non-clinical teams to clarify Part B drug workflows, identify opportunities to enhance review quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency, and maintain consistent productivity despite evolving priorities.

Key qualifications for this role:

  • PharmD degree with an active pharmacist license in at least one state
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or relevant specialty pharmacy
  • Proven ability to critically assess complex Part B drug requests independently
  • Hands-on experience reviewing Part B drug prior authorizations and appeals

Schedule and Work Conditions:

  • Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST
  • Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation from January 1, 2027, through March 31, 2027, with time off only permitted for emergencies
  • Contract duration from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027 (6 months)
