Pharmacist in Boyce, LA

This contract role offers a dynamic work environment with varied responsibilities essential to ensuring optimal patient care. The position is based in Boyce, LA, with a start date of ASAP and a 13-week duration.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating and varied schedule to support hospital needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and accuracy
• Consult with physicians and nurses to provide expert pharmaceutical guidance
• Perform pharmacokinetic evaluations to optimize patient medication regimens
• Utilize IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis to document and manage patient information

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in a hospital or acute care environment
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Previous experience supervising pharmacy technicians is preferred
