A unique opportunity is available for a full-time pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations at a post-acute specialty hospital with 40 staffed beds and an average daily census of 35 patients. This role requires holding the Pharmacy-In-Charge (PIC) or Consultant of Record (COR) designation and providing comprehensive pharmacy staffing leadership.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the sole full-time pharmacist and PIC for the facility, ensuring regulatory compliance and medication safety.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations including medication dispensing, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Provide on-call support and backup coverage during weekends and after-hours when remote order entry services are utilized.
  • Utilize Wellsky pharmacy information system to process orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
  • Prepare IV compounds within the Segregated Compounding Area, excluding chemotherapy preparations.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist license is mandatory.
  • Florida Consultant Pharmacist license highly preferred.
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience, ideally within a post-acute or specialty setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IV compounding procedures and sterile technique.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and start promptly.

Pharmacy Team:

  • One full-time pharmacist (this role)
  • One pharmacy technician
