An opportunity is available for an Oncology Pharmacist to contribute expertise in medication therapy management for oncology patients within a community health setting. This position, based in Southern California, involves collaboration with nursing staff and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care tailored to oncology patients' unique needs.

Location: El Centro, CA

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shifts

Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential for Temp-to-Hire based on mutual fit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with nurses and providers to optimize medication therapy plans for oncology patients
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment protocols in accordance with best oncology practices
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and community health system policies
  • Provide clinical expertise in oncology pharmacotherapy within a smaller community health environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacist License
  • Proven oncology pharmacy experience
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) credential preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a smaller, community health system setting with adaptable communication skills
