Pharmacist in Bridgeport, CT

An opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to join a high-acuity, 1500-bed hospital recognized as a Level I Trauma Center. This role supports the Children's Hospital Pharmacy, providing specialized medication management in pediatric and women's health settings. The position offers a mix of clinical and operational responsibilities depending on your skills and experience.

Location: Bridgeport, CT

Schedule:

• 5 shifts per week
• 8-hour day or evening shifts (dependent on department needs)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services within pediatric and women's health units
• Participate in medication dispensing and operational oversight
• Potentially serve as Pharmacist in Charge or contribute to sterile processing based on competency
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• PGY1 residency training preferred, or equivalent 2-3 years experience without residency
• CT Pharmacist license is required
• Prior exposure to children's and women's health pharmacy practices
• Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis medication systems
