Provide specialized pharmaceutical care in a dynamic inpatient setting serving a renowned Level I Trauma Center with 1500 beds. This contract opportunity focuses on children’s hospital pharmacy services within a leading healthcare facility, offering exposure to both pediatric and women’s health areas. Candidates with solid inpatient pharmacy experience and some familiarity with pediatric or women’s health are encouraged to apply. Depending on your expertise, you may contribute clinically in relevant departments or support operational functions such as sterile processing and dispensing as a Pharmacist in Charge.
Schedule/Hours:
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- Day or evening shifts available, aligned with departmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately for inpatient pediatric patients
- Participate in clinical decision-making and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee sterile processing and medication dispensing operations if assigned
- Utilize pharmacy IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience
- PGY1 residency training preferred; candidates with 2-3 years of experience without residency considered
- Active Connecticut Pharmacist license required
- Experience or exposure to children’s and women’s health pharmacy practices preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
