Pharmacist - Brockton, Massachusetts

A Home Infusion provider specializing in IV and infusion services seeks a PRN Staff Pharmacist to support patients with acute and chronic medical needs. This role requires clinical pharmacy expertise and hands-on involvement in compounding and patient care within a cleanroom environment.

Location:

• Cambridge, MA
• On-site position with consistent in-person shifts

Schedule/Shift:

• Initial training: 4-8 days focused on EMR system
• Ongoing PRN shifts: 2 days per month with flexible scheduling, plus additional dates throughout the year
• Typical shift hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
• Perform sterile compounding following USP 797 standards and support cleanroom operations
• Dispense medications and infusion supplies safely and accurately
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding patient and pharmacy records
• Communicate clearly with patients, physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide coverage for other pharmacists as needed

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy preferred
• Prior experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding required
• Strong knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
• Excellent communication, multitasking, time management, and critical thinking skills
