A PRN Staff Pharmacist role is available within a home infusion setting that specializes in IV and infusion services for patients managing acute and chronic medical conditions. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential clinical pharmacy support on a recurring basis in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
- Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations following USP 797 standards
- Ensure the safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies
- Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
- Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide coverage for other pharmacists as needed
Schedule / Shift:
- Initial training on EMR system for 4-8 days; training dates in June (18, 19, 25, 26)
- Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
- Additional PRN coverage based on scheduled dates from June through December
- Shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, onsite
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing required
- Minimum of 1+ year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding is required
- Thorough knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards mandatory
- Strong communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking skills
