Per Diem Pharmacist in Bronx, NY

This per diem pharmacist opportunity is based in Hempstead, NY, within a well-established independent retail pharmacy setting. The position requires a professional who delivers expert pharmaceutical care and ensures smooth daily operations in a close-knit community environment.

Schedule and Hours:

• 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Arrive by 10:45 AM daily
• Stay until 7:15 PM to support effective handoffs and closing procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage independent retail pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications, counseling patients, and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow efficiency and patient safety
• Provide immunizations if certified and handle other pharmacy-related clinical duties
• Use pharmacy management systems, with PioneerRx experience highly valued

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active, unrestricted New York State Pharmacist License
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
• Prior community/retail pharmacy experience required
• Immunization certification preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx software strongly preferred
• Spanish language skills are a plus, though translation support is provided
