This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with an interest or experience in compounding medications. The role requires a detailed-oriented professional to prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions, collaborate with healthcare teams, and oversee pharmacy operations to ensure patient safety and care quality. This position offers a contract-to-perm pathway in a well-structured pharmacy environment.

Schedule and Hours:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Every third Saturday from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 30-minute lunch break

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense compounded sterile and non-sterile prescriptions following established protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records, manage pharmacy inventory, and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Provide expert pharmaceutical guidance to patients for optimal health outcomes
  • Assist in training and supervising pharmacy technician staff to maintain operational excellence

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in North Carolina
  • 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred; enthusiastic new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 compounding standards
  • Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing
  • Experience with pharmacy software is a plus (training on PK system similar to QS1 will be provided)
