Pharmacist in Burlington, NC

A rewarding opportunity exists for a licensed pharmacist to focus on compounding within an established pharmacy setting. This contract-to-hire role is based in Burlington, NC, offering a structured 40-hour workweek Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with every third Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A 30-minute lunch break is provided daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to address individual patient needs.
• Prepare and dispense both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions, averaging 78 compounded scripts daily.
• Maintain precise patient records and oversee pharmacy inventory management.
• Deliver expert pharmaceutical care and counsel to support optimal patient health.
• Train and supervise pharmacy technician staff to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in North Carolina.
• 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience; enthusiastic new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply.
• Solid understanding of USP 795, 797, and 800 compounding standards.
• Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing.
• Experience or willingness to work with PK pharmacy software (similar to QS1) with training provided.
