Pharmacist | Butler, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is for a Long Term Care Pharmacist to support skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care operations. The role involves reviewing medication orders and ensuring accurate dispensing and documentation within a regulated pharmacy environment. The assignment is based in Butler, PA, and offers a contract role with potential extension beyond the initial one-month timeline.

Responsibilities:

• Verify orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and compliance
• Check blister packed medications along with sterile and non-sterile products
• Answer clinical questions and provide support via phone to nursing staff, hospice nurses, and physicians
• Count and document controlled substances within the perpetual inventory system
• Conduct emergency box checks to maintain readiness
• Utilize QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems daily

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Current pharmacist license in good standing in Pennsylvania
• At least 1 year of pharmacist experience; Long Term Care (LTC) experience preferred
• Ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, and maintain visual acuity throughout shifts
• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy operational hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
