Per Diem Pharmacist | Butler, Pennsylvania

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available that offers 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within pharmacy hours of 8am to 6pm. This assignment initially spans one month with the possibility of extension, ideal for experienced pharmacists seeking flexible, ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice patients
• Check blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile medications for accuracy
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance as needed
• Count controlled substances and maintain accurate documentation in the perpetual inventory
• Review emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness and compliance

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Current, active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience, with long-term care (LTC) experience preferred
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and visual acuity; capable of lifting up to 30 pounds

Technology Skills:

• Experience with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems
