Pharmacist | Butler, Pennsylvania

A pharmacist role is available in Butler, PA, offering a 3-month contract to hire opportunity. This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with pharmacy hours spanning Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The role involves working with operating systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC.

Responsibilities:

• Verify orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
• Check packaged medications, including blister-packed items as well as sterile and non-sterile medications.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions effectively.
• Conduct counts of controlled substances and maintain documentation in the perpetual inventory.
• Monitor and verify emergency medication boxes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in Pennsylvania in good standing.
• Strong visual acuity, fine motor skills, and ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Capability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred.
