Travel Inpatient Pharmacist | Cadiz, Kentucky

A critical access hospital in a scenic area of Western Kentucky is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide inpatient pharmacy coverage. This role offers the opportunity to serve a close-knit community in a slower-paced setting near outdoor recreation at Lake Barkley and the Land Between the Lakes.

Location:

• Cadiz, Kentucky

Setting:

• Inpatient hospital pharmacy with 25 licensed beds, averaging 12 to 18 patients daily
• Small pharmacy team including two pharmacists, one technician, and one part-time pharmacist
• System: CPSI

Schedule:

• 8 days on, 6 days off rotation alongside one other pharmacist
• Shift hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services, which may include serving as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
• Dispense medications and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
• Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize medication therapy
• Participate in on-call rotation to support pharmacy operations beyond regular hours

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Kentucky
• Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy preferred, critical access hospital experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently within a small team environment
• Strong communication and clinical skills
