A position is available for an Oncology Pharmacist within a community health system located in El Centro, CA. This opportunity offers a focused role supporting oncology patients through collaboration with nurses and healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shifts
This contract position begins immediately and will last approximately 13 weeks with the potential to transition to permanent employment if mutually agreeable.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and managing oncology medication therapies to support patient care
- Collaborating closely with nursing staff and providers to optimize treatment outcomes
- Working effectively within a smaller community health system environment, adapting to its unique pace and culture
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current California Pharmacist license required
- Solid background in oncology pharmacy practice
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) designation is preferred
- Strong communication skills and comfort in a community health system setting
