An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting located in Ventura County. This 300-bed hospital utilizes Cerner and Omnicell systems, offering an excellent environment to practice inpatient pharmacy within a respected healthcare network.

Location: Camarillo, CA
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week; variable afternoons and days
Position Type: Contract, with potential for temp-to-hire
Start Date: Mid-December
Duration: 3+ months

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient department operations
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapies
• Participate in pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosage adjustments

Desired Qualifications:

• Current California pharmacist license
• Previous inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Comfortable working within Cerner and Omnicell systems
• Strong communication skills to consult effectively with clinical teams
