An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support a rehab hospital setting. This position offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, working 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an immediate start. The assignment is expected to last 13 weeks or more, ideal for candidates seeking a contract role in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accurate dispensing of medications in a rehabilitation hospital
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient medication therapy
- Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems for medication management and electronic health record documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards related to pharmacy operations
- Counsel patients and providers regarding medication use and potential side effects
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Massachusetts (Retail pharmacists and new graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Experience with hospital pharmacy operations preferred
- Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis technology platforms
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
