A remote pharmacist role is available for a dedicated professional with a PharmD degree and active licensure in at least one state. This contract-to-hire position focuses on Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals, supporting Medicare requirements and clinical policy implementation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST, including mandatory weekend and holiday rotations during the contract period from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals according to clinical policies and Medicare guidelines
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to clarify drug policies and workflows
  • Identify and recommend improvements to review quality, accuracy, and operational processes
  • Adapt and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment with changing workflows and volume demands

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree with an active pharmacist license in at least one state
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or specialty pharmacy
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to independently assess complex Part B drug requests
  • Experience with Part B drug prior authorization and appeals is highly preferred
  • Prior utilization management experience is strongly valued, especially with Medicare Part B
