Pharmacist | Cambridge, Massachusetts

A remote pharmacist role is available with a dedicated healthcare provider offering a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is open to licensed pharmacists nationwide and focuses on managing Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals within a dynamic, high-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals in compliance with clinical policies and Medicare requirements.
• Apply utilization management criteria to authorization decisions.
• Collaborate with internal clinical and non-clinical teams to address questions related to Part B drug policies and workflows.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance review quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain consistent productivity and quality while adapting to evolving workflows and shifting priorities.
• Participate in mandatory weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree with active pharmacist licensure in at least one state.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or specialty pharmacy.
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to independently evaluate complex Part B drug requests.
• Experience specifically with Part B drug prior authorization and/or appeals review.
• Prior utilization management and prior authorization experience is highly preferred.
• Direct Medicare Part B, utilization management, and prior authorization experience is especially valuable.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST
• Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation
• No day off unless emergency between 01/01/27 and 03/31/27

Contract Details:

• Contract duration: 10/01/2026 – 03/31/2027 (6 months)
• Temporary to permanent transition opportunity
• All necessary equipment provided
