Provide clinical pharmacy support specializing in home infusion services with a focus on IV and infusion therapies for patients managing acute and chronic medical conditions. This PRN role offers the opportunity to work on a recurring basis, supporting sterile compounding and cleanroom operations in a dynamic environment.
Location: Cambridge, MA
Job Type: Contract (PRN)
Schedule:
- 4-8 days initial training on EMR system (June 18, 19, 25, 26)
- 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
- Additional PRN coverage as outlined in July through December
- Shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on site
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
- Perform sterile compounding and maintain cleanroom compliance according to USP 797 standards
- Dispense medications and infusion-related supplies safely and accurately
- Maintain patient and pharmacy records in line with federal and state regulations
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and patients
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience; 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Proven experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding
- Strong understanding of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
- Excellent communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking skills
