Provide clinical pharmacy support specializing in home infusion services with a focus on IV and infusion therapies for patients managing acute and chronic medical conditions. This PRN role offers the opportunity to work on a recurring basis, supporting sterile compounding and cleanroom operations in a dynamic environment.

Location: Cambridge, MA
Job Type: Contract (PRN)
Schedule:

  • 4-8 days initial training on EMR system (June 18, 19, 25, 26)
  • 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
  • Additional PRN coverage as outlined in July through December
  • Shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
  • Perform sterile compounding and maintain cleanroom compliance according to USP 797 standards
  • Dispense medications and infusion-related supplies safely and accurately
  • Maintain patient and pharmacy records in line with federal and state regulations
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and patients
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience; 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • Proven experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding
  • Strong understanding of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking skills
