Pharmacist - Cambridge, MA

A leading healthcare facility in Cambridge, MA, is seeking an experienced Night Shift Pharmacist to support their pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work within a prestigious hospital system, focusing on delivering top-tier pharmaceutical care during overnight hours.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient medication therapies and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Provide expert guidance to nursing staff and physicians regarding drug dosing, interactions, and side effects.
• Participate in inventory management to maintain adequate medication supplies.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license.
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience, preferably within an acute care setting.
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis pharmacy systems.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours with sound judgment.
