Pharmacist in Camden, NJ

An inpatient healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Overnight Pharmacist to support their team during a maternity leave assignment. This 13-week contract role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience working in an active inpatient pharmacy environment, starting with training in mid to late November and covering the shift through early December onward.

Location: Camden, NJ
Facility Type: Inpatient Pharmacy
Schedule:

• Monday to Sunday, 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
• Overnight shift from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Note: You will be the sole pharmacist on duty between 12:00 AM and 6:30 AM, so confidence and independence during these hours are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense medications to inpatients
• Perform final verifications to ensure safety and compliance
• Manage Pyxis medication machine refills
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to optimize medication therapy

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear NJ Pharmacist license required
• Prior inpatient pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Compounding experience is beneficial but not mandatory
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records is preferred
• New graduates with recent inpatient rotations are welcome to apply, provided they feel comfortable operating independently overnight
