An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a large 500-bed hospital in York, PA. This contract role offers an ASAP start with an initial duration of 13 weeks or longer. The position features a variable schedule covering days and afternoons.
Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians regarding patient care, and managing pharmacokinetics. The pharmacist will work with advanced health IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to ensure accuracy and efficiency in medication dispensing and patient records.
Ideal candidates must hold a valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license and bring several years of inpatient pharmacy experience. Proficiency with EPIC is a must, along with familiarity handling oncology and chemotherapy medications to support specialized care services.
