A hospital pharmacy position is available for a pharmacist with a minimum of one year of inpatient experience. This role offers a 13-week contract opportunity in Campbell, CA, with an ASAP start date. The schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts per week, including variable days and afternoon shifts, with some weekend work required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Verifying medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
  • Consulting with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies and clinical issues
  • Utilizing Cerner pharmacy information system effectively for order processing and documentation

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Valid California pharmacist license
  • At least one year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • Full-time availability, demonstrating reliability and flexibility
  • Ability to work within budget constraints while maintaining high standards of care
  • Familiarity with Cerner or similar hospital IT systems is preferred
