Pharmacist – Night Shift (Contract) – Canal Winchester, OH

A critical role for a licensed Ohio Pharmacist with hospital experience is now available on the night shift. This position involves working as the sole pharmacist during core overnight hours, supported by Certified Pharmacy Technicians, providing essential pharmaceutical care to hospital patients.

Schedule & Location:

• Location: Canal Winchester, OH
• Shift: Night shift, 7 days on / 7 days off
• Work hours during "on" weeks: 8:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Thursday night to Thursday morning)
• Sole Pharmacist coverage between 11:30 PM and 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, process, validate, and dispense medication orders accurately
• Monitor and manage patients’ medication therapy ensuring safe, effective, and age-appropriate regimens
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, quality standards, and legal regulations governing pharmacy practice
• Communicate drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers clearly and professionally
• Participate in drug therapy management during medical emergencies including medication preparation and supply assurance
• Coordinate activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth, patient-centric pharmacy operations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited U.S. College of Pharmacy
• Valid, active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients
• Ability to make decisions independently during sole pharmacist coverage hours
