A pharmacy professional is needed for a 13-week contract position in Canby, CA, starting ASAP. This role supports retail pharmaceutical services, ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations under the guidance of the Retail Pharmacy Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications within retail pharmacy services.
- Review and accurately dispense prescribed medications, ensuring proper formulas and dosages.
- Supervise pharmacy personnel involved in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Provide professional counseling on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage when requested.
- Maintain pharmacy records, ensuring quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and compliance with disposal regulations.
- Handle pharmacy data entry, inventory management, and manage third-party prescription system issues.
- Facilitate training and supervision of interns and technicians, adhering to required staffing ratios.
- Develop strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuing education and adapt to changing pharmacy laws and practices.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations to maximize sales and control expenses while maintaining safety and cleanliness.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist in the State of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited college.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing pharmacy practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
