A psychiatric hospital in the Pittsburgh area is seeking a qualified pharmacist for a one-month contract position from October 1 through October 31, with a potential extension. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to provide pharmacy services in a hospital inpatient setting.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Type: Contract (not temp-to-perm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process medication orders and verify prescriptions within the hospital setting
• Manage automated dispensing systems efficiently to support inpatient care
• Collaborate effectively with hospital administrators, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state pharmacy regulations
• Support medication inventory management and proper documentation

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially in psychiatric or inpatient settings

• Experience utilizing automated dispensing machines (e.g., Pyxis)
