A hospital-based pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week contract with an immediate start. This role focuses on inpatient pharmacy duties, including order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and promptly within an inpatient hospital setting.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency and compliance.
  • Consult and communicate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Utilize Cerner pharmacy information system proficiently in daily workflow.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid California pharmacist license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Full-time availability with flexibility to work a 5-day schedule (eight-hour shifts).
  • Comfortable with variable days and afternoon shifts, including some weekend work.
  • Ability to work effectively within established budget constraints.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Schedule:

  • Five 8-hour shifts per week.
  • Variable days and afternoon shifts.
  • Some weekend coverage required.

Location:

  • Capitola, California.
