A hospital-based pharmacist position is available on a 13-week contract, starting as soon as possible, in Capitola, CA. This role requires 1+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience and a California pharmacist license. The pharmacist will support inpatient care through order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and consulting with healthcare providers.

Schedule:

• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoons
• Some weekends required

Key responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and timely
• Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring compliance with protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for order processing and documentation

Qualifications:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Minimum of one year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
