Pharmacist - Carson City, NV

A hospital is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to work night shifts in a 175-bed facility. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support patient care by ensuring accurate medication management in a dynamic hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a current Nevada pharmacy license and prior hospital experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Nevada pharmacist license
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings
• Comfort and ability to work night shifts consistently
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis dispensing systems is preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians

Location:

• Carson City, NV (assignment at a nearby 175-bed hospital in Reno)

Responsibilities:

• Order verification and medication dispensing oversight
• Supervising pharmacy technicians during night shifts
• Consulting with medical staff regarding medication therapy and adjustments
• Applying pharmacokinetics principles to patient care as needed
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
• 10-hour shifts per night
