Pharmacist | Cass Lake, Minnesota

A pharmacist position is available on a contract basis, offering an opportunity to contribute expertise in a hospital setting. This role is based in Bemidji, MN, within a 200-bed facility known for delivering comprehensive healthcare services. The contract duration is approximately 13 weeks or longer, with a start date as soon as possible.

Schedule/Hours:

• 2nd shift: approximately 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm
• Work schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficiency and compliance
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses, providing pharmaceutical expertise and consultation
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize drug therapy
• Utilize IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management and documentation

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Minnesota pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience, demonstrating knowledge of hospital protocols and patient care
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
