A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. This role involves working the 2nd shift, approximately 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, following a 7 days on/7 days off schedule. The assignment is located in Bemidji, MN, at a 200-bed facility, starting as soon as possible with a contract duration of 13 weeks or longer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of medication orders
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain an efficient workflow
- Collaborate directly with physicians and nurses to provide consultation on medication therapies
- Apply pharmacokinetics principles for individualized patient care
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Pharmacist license
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis electronic systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
