Part-Time Pharmacist Opportunity – Home Infusion Specialty

A reputable home infusion pharmacy located in the Ceres, CA area is seeking a part-time pharmacist to support their infusion services 2-3 days per week. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates living within commuting distance, including Modesto, Stockton, and Merced, are encouraged to apply. The start date is immediate with ongoing contract availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assess physician prescription orders for appropriateness concerning dosage, drug choice, administration route, and potential interactions.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records including medical history, lab results, and concurrent medications.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory documentation standards per state, federal, and accrediting agencies.
• Coordinate laboratory testing and interpret results in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
• Support clinical and technical needs of patients, nurses, and physicians.
• Implement new pharmacy policies and procedures alongside the pharmacist-in-charge.
• Provide training and supervision for pharmacy technicians, interns, and lab personnel.
• Oversee sterile compounding and quality assurance programs including validation and environmental testing.
• Document communications with healthcare professionals and caregivers thoroughly.
• Educate patients and caregivers on drug therapies safely and effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong IV therapy, infusion, and clinical experience; home infusion pharmacy background highly preferred.
• Candidates with recent graduation (within 2-3 years) and internship/APPE experience in IV/TPN are encouraged; training support available.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented attitude.
• Meticulous attention to documentation and resume detail.

System Experience: CareTend preferred.
