Provide essential pharmacy coverage with per diem shifts supporting a growing team of pharmacists across multiple retail pharmacy locations in the greater Phoenix area. This role involves stepping in to help manage workload spikes, vacations, and call-outs, contributing to smooth operations in busy food and pharmacy settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver proficient pharmacist services in retail pharmacy locations operating Monday through Saturday, typically from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations open until 8 p.m.
- Cover shifts as needed, offering flexibility to support seasonal volume changes such as graduations, summer vacations, and holidays.
- Complete required training—initial 8-hour session plus additional training as necessary—focusing on pharmacy systems and site-specific procedures.
- Utilize QS1 pharmacy management system effectively.
- Provide immunizations and maintain current BLS certification.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and manage pharmacist-only sites as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferred, with a strong preference for candidates who bring 5+ years of retail pharmacy practice.
- Valid pharmacist license in Arizona without restrictions.
- Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required.
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy system is an advantage.
- Ability to work 2-4 days per week to maintain team readiness.
