This opportunity is for experienced retail pharmacists interested in a flexible, per diem role supporting pharmacy operations within a dynamic grocery and pharmacy setting. The client operates multiple retail pharmacies in the greater Phoenix area and is building a dedicated team of pharmacists to provide reliable coverage during peak times such as graduations, summer vacations, and holidays.
Location: Chandler, AZ (with multiple pharmacy sites across the Phoenix metro area, all within commutable distances; travel support provided)
Schedule/Hours:
- Pharmacy operational hours: Monday through Saturday, typically 10 AM to 7 PM, with some locations open until 8 PM
- Shifts are on-call and vary depending on coverage needs—ideal candidates can work 2–4 days per week
Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently according to company and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff; some smaller locations operate pharmacist-only
- Participate in scheduled training sessions to familiarize with pharmacy systems and protocols
- Manage immunizations and provide patient counseling as authorized
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of protocols and safety procedures in line with BLS certification
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- At least 1–2 years of retail pharmacy experience required; 5+ years preferred to maximize compensation
- Current, unrestricted Arizona pharmacist license
- Immunization privileges and valid BLS certification
- Experience using QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills suitable for a fast-paced retail environment
