Support pharmacy operations across multiple locations in and around the greater Phoenix, AZ area with flexible per diem pharmacist opportunities. This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking part-time hours (typically 2-4 days a week), ready to assist during call-outs, vacations, or volume spikes. Pharmacy settings are a blend of food and pharmacy environments, handling an average of 100-125 prescriptions daily.
Location: Greater Phoenix, AZ area (primarily Chandler and surrounding communities)
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Saturday, generally 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (some pharmacies close at 8:00 PM)
- Per diem flexibility with shifts based on operational needs and coverage
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within retail pharmacy settings
- Collaborate with strong technician support teams to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
- Administer immunizations as needed (immunization privileges required)
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards
- Participate in an 8-hour initial training session, with additional training opportunities available
- Utilize QS1 pharmacy system to manage prescriptions and patient records
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Arizona pharmacist license with no restrictions
- Minimum of 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience; 5+ years preferred to achieve higher compensation
- Immunization privilege and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy system is a strong plus; reduced training time for QS1 experience
