Per Diem Pharmacist - Chandler, AZ

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide critical per diem support in a retail pharmacy setting. This role requires adaptability and readiness to cover shifts during call outs, vacations, or increases in volume. Ideal candidates will bring 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience and be comfortable working part-time, ideally 2-4 days per week, to assist multiple locations.

Location: Chandler, AZ
Schedule/Hours:

• Pharmacy operations run Monday through Saturday, typically from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with some locations open until 8:00 p.m.
• Hours are not guaranteed; the role is designed to offer flexible coverage as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with an average daily prescription volume of 100-125.
• Provide excellent patient counseling and ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians who provide strong support; some smaller locations operate as pharmacist-only sites, requiring independent operational skills.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy management software to maintain accurate records and support pharmacy operations.
• Complete an initial 8-hour training shift, with additional training opportunities available to ensure proficiency.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• At least 1-2 years of experience in retail pharmacy practice.
• Current immunization privileges and BLS certification required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
