A pharmacist opportunity is available at a 200-bed community hospital in Southwest Virginia. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, beginning as soon as possible with an initial assignment of 13 weeks or longer.

Location:

• Southwest Virginia (Charlottesville area)

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons
• Combination of 8- and 10-hour shifts
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate needs

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring compliance and quality
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient care
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to manage medication dispensing and documentation
• Support overall pharmacy operations within a hospital setting

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to adapt to variable scheduling and patient care demands
