Pharmacist | Chesapeake, Virginia

An Inpatient Pharmacist position is available at a medical center in Chesapeake, VA, for a 13-week contract starting Monday, March 23. This role covers overnight shifts with a schedule of 8:30 PM to 7:30 AM Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM Friday through Sunday, following a 7 nights on/7 nights off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders efficiently and accurately.
• Manage intravenous (IV) therapies, pain-controlled analgesia, antibiotic regimens, and monitor drug interactions.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) for charting and documentation.
• Preferred experience includes chemotherapy protocols, anticoagulant therapy, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Virginia pharmacist license at the time of application submission.
• A minimum of one year inpatient pharmacy experience is required.
• Strong familiarity with EPIC EMR systems is mandatory.
• Experience in travel pharmacy assignments is preferred.
• Competency in order entry, medication verification, and clinical pharmacy services.
