Pharmacist in Chetek, WI

A pharmacist position is available in Chetek, WI, on a contract basis starting June 15th for 13 weeks and beyond. This role is ideal for professionals with at least one year of inpatient pharmacy experience who are adaptable and ready to obtain a Wisconsin temporary license.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1+ years inpatient pharmacy experience
• Ability and willingness to obtain a Wisconsin temporary pharmacist license
• Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy information system is highly desirable
• Strong skills in medication order verification and pharmacokinetics
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians
• Effective communication skills for consulting with physicians and nursing staff

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize medication regimens
• Utilize Cerner software to manage electronic medical records and pharmacy operations

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour day shifts
• Work schedule follows a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
