A night pharmacist opportunity is available in Chicago, IL, specializing in pediatric care within a hospital setting. This contract role offers a unique 7-on, 7-off night schedule (9 PM to 7:30 AM), providing an ideal work-life balance for professionals experienced in hospital pharmacy practice, particularly with pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients, ensuring safe and effective medication management
  • Perform accurate weight-based dosing calculations specific to pediatric needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Utilize electronic health records systems, including EPIC and Omnicell, for medication order processing and documentation
  • Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications with a focus on pediatric populations

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist license
  • Strong hospital pharmacy experience
  • Demonstrated competence in pediatric pharmacotherapy and comfort with weight-based dosing
  • Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts on a 7-day rotation
