A healthcare facility in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Night Pharmacist to support their pediatric hospital pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a specialized environment focused on children’s healthcare with a consistent night schedule, ideal for candidates versed in hospital pharmacy and pediatric patient care.

Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: 7 nights on, 7 nights off / 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks +
System Experience: EPIC, Omnicell

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, dispense, and verify medication orders during night hours in a pediatric hospital setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication usage tailored to pediatric patients, including weight-based dosing considerations.
• Utilize hospital IT systems, including EPIC and Omnicell, for medication order processing and inventory management.
• Provide expert guidance on medication therapies and monitor patient responses during the overnight shift.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist license required.
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience, especially within pediatric care.
• Comfort and proficiency with weight-based pediatric dosing methods.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
