A Level II Trauma Center in Northern California is seeking three dedicated Staff Pharmacists to join their team on a full-time basis. This role involves varied 10-hour shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends with no fixed days off.
This position requires delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care aligned with hospital standards and policies. The Staff Pharmacist will apply clinical judgment and professional expertise to identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related issues, working collaboratively within the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care consistent with hospital and pharmacy policies
- Identify and resolve drug-related problems with clinical judgment
- Support the hospital's mission of compassionate, person-centered care
- Operate within federal and state regulations and safety standards
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum one year hospital pharmacy experience, preferably inpatient decentralized setting
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and Windows operating systems
- Strong application of drug knowledge and sound clinical judgment
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Registered Pharmacist license in good standing from the State of California
- ACLS Certification (must be obtained within one year of hire; current employees have until July 31, 2027)
- PALS Certification (same timeline as ACLS)
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic workload
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capacity to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to emergencies
- Familiarity with CII Safe and PYXIS operations
