Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge - Contract

Job Description

An immediate opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge to lead a community specialty pharmacy in the Chico market. This short-term assignment offers excellent technician support, travel benefits, and the opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations while a permanent PIC is recruited.

Responsibilities
Serve as the Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge overseeing daily pharmacy operations
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support workflow efficiency
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication therapy
Verify prescriptions and maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations

Work Hours
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Full-time schedule
6–8 week assignment with ASAP start

Experience
Recent retail pharmacy experience required
Previous PIC or pharmacy leadership experience preferred
Experience supervising pharmacy staff
New Leaf experience is a plus but training is provided

Education
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

Other Qualifications
Active and valid California Pharmacist License
Strong leadership and communication skills
Travel expenses provided, including hotel, meal stipend, and mileage reimbursement
Available to begin immediately
