Pharmacist | Chicora, Pennsylvania

Provide pharmaceutical care as a Long Term Care Pharmacist supporting skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment with an assignment lasting one month with the possibility of extension. The position requires a full-time commitment during pharmacy operating hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and compliance.
• Inspect blister-packed medications along with sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.
• Respond promptly to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians.
• Perform controlled substance counts and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation.
• Conduct regular checks of emergency medication boxes to ensure proper stocking and readiness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
• Current registered pharmacist license in Pennsylvania with good standing.
• At least 1 year of pharmacist experience; Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Capable of sitting and standing for extended periods, with fine motor skills and good visual acuity.
• Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds.
