This part-time Long Term Care Pharmacist position offers a valuable opportunity to support skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care through accurate medication management and clinical consultation. This contract role requires dedication to patient safety and medication accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Chicora, PA
• Schedule: 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• Contract Duration: 1 month ongoing with the possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various care facilities.
• Check blister-packed and sterile/non-sterile medications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing staff, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance.
• Accurately count controlled substances and maintain documentation in the perpetual inventory log.
• Inspect emergency medication boxes to guarantee proper stock and readiness.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, with preference for Long Term Care (LTC) experience.
• Strong physical capability with ability to sit, stand, maintain fine motor skills, demonstrate visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Technical Proficiencies:

• Experience working with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems preferred.
