Pharmacist - Chicora, Pennsylvania

A pharmacy professional position is available in Chicora, PA, offering a 3-month contract to hire opportunity. The role requires expertise in pharmacy operations with a strong focus on accuracy and patient care in a long-term care environment.

Schedule & Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday: 8am – 6pm
• Saturday: 8am – 4pm
• Sunday: 8am – 3pm

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
• Inspect blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications for accuracy.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance as needed.
• Manage controlled substance counts and maintain perpetual inventory documentation.
• Monitor and verify emergency medication boxes to ensure compliance and readiness.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Current and active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania, in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacist; long-term care (LTC) experience preferred.
• Proficient with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems.
• Ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, and maintain visual acuity as required.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds safely.
