Long Term Care Pharmacist

LONG TERM CARE CONTRACT PHARMACIST

We’re seeking a Pharmacist for an ongoing Long Term Care pharmacy assignment with possible extension. The ideal candidate will have strong pharmacy experience and be comfortable supporting skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License in good standing

• 1+ year of pharmacist experience required

• Long Term Care experience preferred

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods

• Strong fine motor skills and visual acuity

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians

• Verify blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications

• Answer calls and clinical questions from facilities, nurses, and physicians

• Count and document controlled substances

• Check emergency medication boxes

• Work with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC systems

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Sunday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

• 1-month assignment with possible extension

• 8-week contracts may be considered
