Pharmacist | Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin

A critical access hospital in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. Serving a 25-bed facility, this role offers the opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic healthcare environment, including emergency room, labor & delivery, and medical-surgical units. The patient load averages 10 to 12 per day, and minimal oncology services are involved.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently using Pyxis and managing electronic medical records through Cerner
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and patient care
• Providing pharmacy services in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations
• Monitoring inventory and ensuring drug safety protocols are upheld throughout the hospital

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current state licensure
• Previous experience in hospital pharmacy preferred, especially in critical access or similar settings
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Pyxis automated dispensing systems is highly beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Schedule and duration:

• Monday through Sunday coverage with a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Weekday hours: 5:30 am to 4:00 pm; Weekend hours: 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
• Start date for the first rotation is July 6, with an anticipated contract length of 13 weeks or more
