Pharmacist - Chula Vista, CA

A short 4-week pharmacist opportunity is available in the Chula Vista, CA area for candidates with a California pharmacy license. This contract position requires 2nd shift availability from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM with rotating weekends. Immediate start dates are preferred.

Responsibilities include accepting and dispensing prescription medications while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. You will monitor patient medication usage patterns and maintain confidential patient records accurately. Providing patient consultations on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions is essential. Additional duties involve educating patients on medical devices, compounding medications, preparing sterile solutions, and supervising pharmacy staff such as technicians and clerks.

Collaboration with physicians, nurses, pharmacy interns, and other healthcare professionals is key to identifying drug-related issues and optimizing patient care. Inventory management of pharmaceutical and medical supplies also falls under this role.
